Free iPhone Movies just got cheaper!

July 23rd, 2009 by admin

http://www.freepenguin.it/immagini/tux/1112-5035.pngHot offer.  We recently did a post showing  you how to go about getting free iPhone movies. All it takes is two super easy to use bits of software and three clicks of the mouse, and you can watch any DVD on your iPhone (friends got some DVDs you wanna watch?) One of the bits of software is free and does its thing in the background - so no need to think about it again. And the other is super cheap and so easy that it takes just three clicks to get the DVD movie into iTunes ready to sync to our iPhones!

Free DVD To iPhone

July 9th, 2009 by admin

We recently did a post that showed how to get movies onto an iPhone for free. We used a video file (a recent episode of NCIS) we already had on our PC and used software - that can be downloaded free - to convert it to an iPhone compatible format. The software then auto transferred the converted file from our PC to iTunes (for later viewing on our iPhone)

free unlock DVDspacer1.jpgAt the time we promised to do a later post explaining how to get movie/video files onto our PC in the first place! The problem with TransferMyVideo is that it does not copy “protected” DVDs. But all our favorite videos are “protected”.

The solution to the problem turns out to be extremely simple. There is a small - again FREE - piece of neat software that can be downloaded and used to unlock our videos. Its called DVD43 (the gives us the green smiley face on the left). Once downloaded, it just sits on our desktop and auto unlocks videos when we use software such as TransferMyVideo. Its super cool and that easy to use (ie it does it all without us having to doa thing!)

All we have to do is: put video into our computer’s  DVD player; open TransferMyVideo; select “My DVD”; wait a few seconds for the titles to load (this does not happen if you have not downloaded the free DVD43 unlock software); select the movie file to be copied; click “convert”.

TransferMyVideo converts the DVD very quickly to iPhone compatible format (at about twice playing speed). When the DVD has been converted to an iPhone playable file, it will be auto loaded to iTunes and can be found in the Movies library ready to be synced to an iPhone.

The links for the two free bits of software that allow us to watch our DVDs on our iPhone are:

DVD43 and TransferMy Video

Now, as we explained in our previous post, the TransferMyVideo software is free but comes with the watermark in the middle of the screen (as seen in the above screen shot showing My Oceans 13 DVD playing on my iPhone. But the non-watermark version is very cheap- you can download it HERE!

Watch Your Favorite Movies On Your iPhone For Free!

April 20th, 2009 by admin

If you have paid for a movie, then no-one expects you to pay for it again just so you can watch it on the TV in your bedroom! So why should you have to pay for it again so that you can watch it on your iPhone? You definitely should not.

But - sadly for us - the iPhone is limited because it has been designed to play only certain types of videos. And that basically forces us to get all the movies and TV shows we want to watch on our iPones from iTunes (and while there are the occasional freebies, most movies typically cost between $9.99 and $14.99 to buy or $2.99-$3.99 for overnight rental and TV shows are typically $1.99 per show - convenient, but those charges add up to big bucks real fast!)

Free iPhone Movies

Huh? But that has all changed because a software utility has been developed that can take any video and convert it in to a format that the iPhone understands. TransferMy Video automatically does this - and it places the finished product in your iTunes library, so the video is automatically sent to your iPhone the next time you synchronize.

And best of all this fantastic software is free to download!

iPhone movie deal not the real deal!

January 17th, 2008 by admin

iPhone Gizmo got it right! No iPhone Nano in the lime light at the MacWorld fantastic this year. And, as predicted the spotlight was on a new design drama - the thinnest laptop in the world has now made its debut!!

The “Air” is well and truly being buzzed about all over the web, so iPhoneGizmo will move on to other Macworld announcements:

More importantly, what did we iPhone users get? ……..TA DA!!

iTune Movies

For a mere $3-$4 a pop we can watch some great DVDs .

But wait, there’s more..

“A pop” turns out to be 24 hours. Now I am guessing there are some serious commuters out there who like to spend some of their travel time (like me) watching movies, videos, listening to music …. That $3 is going to add up real fast to a LOT of dosh! If this were the only way to get movies then I would get excited about Steve Job’s big …TA DA!

BUT, frankly, whilst it IS going to be great for Apple - it is a POOR deal for us!

There are already several membership sites offering ten times as many movies for a minimal joining fee (about two weeks worth of Apple rentals) and you get to KEEP the movies! (By the way Apple skims over this little nugget by selling users on the “don’t need a computer” con. Oh, don’t get me wrong. You DON’T need a computer because you don’t get to KEEP the movie!

So, conclusion? The Air is exciting and desirable (and our next laptop!)

The iPhone movie deal is a steal - from us!!

iPhone Gizmo is not impressed!!
