New iPhone Games You Have To Check Out!

24 Sep

Square Enix have showcased three new games for iPhone at the Tokyo Games Show. Reminiscent of many a PSP game, they are presumably putting Sony on notice that the iPhone can take on any of the existing game portable game platforms and best them! Just take a look at their demo video for Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes (a strategy game) for the iPhone:

See what we mean? Very PSP!

The other game they showcased was Hills and Rivers Remain – also a PSP-style role play game. Again the following Square Enix video shows us what we can expect from the game.

Square Enix have posted some pics on their site (Japanese) today – click this link for more on pics for  Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes and this link for some more pics for Hills and Rivers Remain.

The final game of the trillogy is Sliding Hero – which clearly uses the accelerometer in the play and thus adding an unbeatable edge over the PSPgame equivalents:

For  some more pics for this game, again follow the link  The game has been given the thumbs up by IGN – a well known game review site (at least for traditional game platforms!) Its a strategy game with a Super Monkey Ball flavor an, again according to IGN, well worth downloading. The good games generally cost $$. We don’t have the cost as yet but will keep you posted – and let you know if there are any free trial versions on offer.
