The iPod Event 2009 held in San Francisco this week was, we reckon, a bit of a non-event. Except it did feature Steve Jobs back on stage (and to a standing ovation, which was cool).
But the new tech announcements were pretty mild – for Apple. Still, the big score for iPhones was the latest software update – which has applied the genius technology to the Apps store. That means that it will automatically recommend apps to us based on apps we already own.

The second supposed score was ringtones for iPhones. And if you are happy to pay $1.29 for a ringtone, then you might also regard this as a big deal. And there are some thirty thousand to choose from. But seriously, just use the iPhonegizmo search function to find several ways to get super iPhone ringtones for free.
